Due to pre-evacuation status in Walsenburg, the Mining Museum is requesting help removing artifacts and documents. They especially need people with trucks or SUVs to transport historical items to a safe location. If you can help, contact Carolyn Newman at 719-738-2840.

Mandatory evacuation is in effect east of the town of LaVeta east to Hwy I-25 and S of the town of Walsenburg to the Las Animas County Line.

Pre-Evacuation is in effect from South of the town of Aguilar to the city limits of Trinidad and east to I-25. The town of Walsenburg is also under pre-evacuation status.
