This Saturday, the Gamelan group Tunjung Sari will present Temu Wicara Bali: A Celebration of Balinese Performing Arts in honor of the twentieth anniversary of Gamelan at Colorado College. We spoke with I Made Lasmawan and Professor of Ethnomusicology Victoria Lindsay Levine about the music of Gamelan, it’s origins and its importance in Balinese culture.
