Officials continue to estimate the fire at 2100 acres with 65% containment. Overnight fire activity was minimal, and the cold front brought 1-3 inches of precipitation over the burn area. All residents outside the fire perimeter are allowed home, while evacuations within the fire perimeter remain in place. Roads within the fire perimeter also remain closed. A Disaster Resource Center is also open in Custer County for those affected by the fire. It’s at the Wetmore Fire Station, 200 County Road 290, and is open Friday 10-7 and Saturday 9-5.
