Update: 5:13 PM. Shelter, Animal Boarding for Pueblo County evacuees

A Red Cross center is now open for Pueblo County residents evacuated from their homes. Location: 84 Stanford, Church of the Nazarene. Please don’t bring donations of any kind to the center.

Animals that need boarding can go to the Colorado State Fairgrounds, though Pueblo officials request you bring food for your animal if possible.

The fire has now crossed the Custer/Pueblo County Line. While this evacuation is a precautionary measure, citizens that have been asked to evacuate need to do so. The winds are very strong and unpredictable; the fire may become a threat to Pueblo County lives and property.
