Residents of an additional 126 homes can now return after Colorado Springs Utilities, the Police Department, and Office of Emergency Management lifted mandatory evacuation notices as of 5:00. The number of firefighters battling the Waldo Canyon Fire began dropping yesterday, and what was once more than 1500 personnel fighting the blaze is now half that. KRCC’s Andrea Chalfin was at the last daily press briefing this morning and has this recap.
