Like yesterday, officials say residents should expect to see smoke from the interior islands of the Waldo Canyon burn area. Hot temperatures and lack of recent rainfall means the burning and smoke activity is something they expect, and there is no growth potential. Still, a helicopter will be dropping water on them today to keep the areas burning at low intensity. Officials remind people that 100% containment does not mean that the fire is out, but they continue to actively monitor the blaze.
