According to Inciweb, officials declared the Waldo Canyon Fire 100% contained as of around 7:20 PM. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Troy Nelson, the Incident Commander, could not find any smoke in the Blodgett Peak area at last check by air. Those near the Waldo Canyon burn area may continue to see smoke, but those are in the interior of the fire. Blodgett Peak was the only area of concern, and with no smoke in that area for 36 hours, officials declared the blaze 100% contained.
