A bill to revamp the Governor’s energy office and broaden the mission is making its way through the Democratic controlled senate. The measure passed its first hurdle on Tuesday, clearing the state veterans and military affairs committee. Last year Democrats defeated a similar proposal worrying it would take away from renewable energy. Bente Birkeland has more from the state capitol.
