Colorado is closing a second state prison in two years because of a declining inmate population. The state Department of Corrections says it will close Colorado State Penitentiary II in Canon City…The Yuma County sheriff is surveying damage after a wildfire swept 84 square miles on Colorado’s eastern plains, injuring three firefighters and destroying at least two homes….and, Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will be front and center next week when the U.S. Supreme Court hears oral arguments on the constitutionality of the federal healthcare overhaul.
