Schriever AFB has increased security measures due to what’s being called an “ongoing incident.” According to a release earlier today, Schriever and local first responders are on scene and have secured the area. All base members are asked to avoid the west side of the base until further notice, and to remain watchful and report suspicious activity to security. KRDO reports the El Paso County Sheriff’s office has sent a negotiator to the base.
