After watching the excellent Rise of the Planet of the Apes last week, we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo to have a closer look at our nearest genetic relatives. It was close to feeding time on a cloudy afternoon after a hot day when the animals were particularly active and we ended up strolling through the whole zoo to watch them in action.

Thanks! I love the Cheyeene Mountain Zoo. So unique and beautiful. It’s such a far cry from the stinky cages that were zoos in my youth. Member-supported also, this zoo is a very special asset to our community.

    STUNNING!
