Forestry officials say losses from the bark beetle epidemic that has devastated areas of the Colorado mountains have been smaller on the Front Range…and, the USA Pro Cycling Challenge kicks off next week, with an individual time trial held in Colorado Springs. The inaugural race is scheduled to begin in Garden of the Gods shortly after 1:00 Monday afternoon. It’s expected to affect some traffic routes in the city.
