The house initially cleared a bill today that sets a legal limit on what it means to be too high to drive. It’s modeled after the legal limit for driving under the influence of alcohol. Lawmakers say the spike in medical marijuana users has prompted the measure. Bente Birkeland has more from the state capitol.

    This is ridiculous, there are no “net new” stoners on the road, the same people that have red cards were smoking and driving before the recent shift in federal attitude.

    IF smoking weed and driving is such a hazard, where are all of the fatalities and accident reports?

    If smoking weed and driving is such a hazard, what about the people on over the counter and prescription meds, they too need to be included in this DUI category, I urge you to contact your lawmakers to state your position.

    If they want to treat weed like vice, make it legal for all, and treat it like vice, if they want it to be medicine, remove the vice framework being put in place by the state for $$$$.
