In January of 2010, the Bee Vradenburg Foundation and the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado initiated a search for the inaugural winner of the Art Creates Community award for the Pikes Peak Region. Local non-profits were invited to submit an application for a $10,000 project award. The winner, selected by the public, was a collaboration concert by the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs and the Gospel Music Workshop of America.  Thomas Wilson, Music Director of the Chamber Orchestra and Jacqueline Williams of the Gospel Workshop talk about the collaborative process in presenting this one of a kind concert.

The concert will be held tonight, September 10th, 2010 at 7pm at the First United Methodist Church in Downtown Colorado Springs.  A volunteer festival will precede the performance at 5:30pm. Tickets are $10 at the door.
