Commercial real estate broker Tim Leigh has dropped out of the race for mayor of Colorado Springs but is considering running for an at-large City Council seat (Gazette, Business Journal).

The Las Animas County commissioners have approved a contract with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs for a $45,000 grant to help fund a feasibility study on the possible funding needed to acquire and operate the Trinidad State Nursing Home (Chieftain).
