People who want to vote in the Aug. 10 primary election have until Monday to register (Gazette, KOAA). The El Paso County commissioners have given their approval on a plan to turn Powers Boulevard into a freeway (KRDO). The Air Force Academy now has a new Commander of Cadets that has been sworn in Friday morning (KOAA).

The Falcon School District 49 board on Thursday accepted the resignation of President Danielle Lindorf and now begins a search for a replacement board member (Gazette).

The Colorado chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business ranked Colorado lawmakers for their pro-business stance during the this years session, and a few Colorado Springs legislators earned top grades (Business Journal).
