In Monument, the Lewis-Palmer School Board is moving quickly to name a short-term replacement for the former superintendent that resigned in June (KRDO).

The Colorado Department of Transportation presented an ambitious, expensive plan to the El Paso County Commissioners Thursday to convert Powers Boulevard into an eight-lane, limited-access freeway (Business Journal).

The Colorado Bar Association has named a new president from Denver (Business Journal).

The Chieftain reports that 17 medical marijuana centers have submitted paperwork to Pueblo County and the state to try and become legal to operate.
