State budget forecasters told lawmakers today that there are insufficient funds to pay the bills for this fiscal year and the new fiscal year beginning July 1…and, earlier today fire officials reported that the Medano Fire has burned over 4700 acres in Saguache and Huerfano counties, about 25 miles northeast of Alamosa.
