In El Paso County,Sheriff Terry Maketa has changed his mind and decided to run for another term (Gazette, KKTV, KRDO, KOAA).

In Pueblo, the Chieftain reports on the opening of a new East Side satellite police substation, and on Fountain Creek standards, and supporters of those new standards.
